After a routine internet scour session, I stumbled across a Mr. Wil Freeborn, and was inspired to draw again. I haven't had a good scribble in a while and after looking at his beautiful illustrations, I have the sketch itch.
Wil carries around a moleskin where ever he goes and then whips it out on a whim, pulls up a pew and starts to draw.
Two things that I particularly love are:
One: The way he thinks about the composition of the drawing on his double page, whether its a small sketch, an image inventory or a full on painting.
Two: The idea of piles of full moleskins all stacked together, with the pages all slightly wrinkly and curly from the paint, making the tiny books bulge.
