I'm not here to talk about that, I'm here to talk about this.


Yep, I'm not talking about this. Mainly because I haven't seen it yet, hopefully this will be rectified by the end of this week. It looks so delicious. Like an equation for heaven:

Bobby Pattinson + 1930's + American circus + controlled colour palette = well, heaven!

So... yeah I mean I am going to actually talk about Broadwalk Empire.
Set in New Jersey, NY during the prohibition on the 1920s (including some speakeasys!), HBO have created a TV drama which is brilliant. Think grubby Mad Men combined with Steve Buscemi.


I've only watched the first episode but I just had to write about it.
As a child I LOVED old Hollywood musicals and feel that that 'glossed over' beauty is missing in today's films and television. But this is really close. Rich colours and textures of pearls, braiding, diamonds and embroidery make an edible wardrobe for the brilliant characters.
